Chokers are Back! Flashback Fall Fashion

Hey gals! It's Deidre.

I can't believe the day has come, but the 90's have made their way back into my life. When I started seeing platform sandals and chokers in all my favorite stores, I started having flashbacks to my childhood and it made me so excited that my choker collection just won't stop growing. (There's a special deal for Complete Insiders on my favorite limited edition choker, that I happened to help design! Keep reading...)

I have to say, the 90's hold a special place in my heart. This doesn't mean we should dress exactly like the Spice Girls did in their "Wannabe" video from 1996. However, you can add a few touches to stay modern and current without looking like you're wearing last year's Halloween costume.

Here are 3 chokers I'm currently obsessing over (and you should be, too!)

1. The Wrap Bracelet That Doubles As A Choker

Tina and I love buying matching clothes and accessories that we agree on. We have friendship rings, friendship booties, friendship skirts, and the list goes on. She bought me a friendship wrap bracelet that I have turned into the friendship choker. (Style Vault Complete Insiders, shop a similar one inside my collection for you here!)

All you have to do is tie it in the back and layer it with something simple and long, like I do here with my Giving Key necklace.

You can also criss-cross it in the back and just let it hang in the front. No extra layering necklaces needed this way!

2. The Gold Buckle Choker

Since my romper is covered in a busy pattern, I want to keep my jewelry pretty simple. I'm wearing this gold buckle choker that I scored from our friends over at Ex Voto Vintage (be watching for an upcoming exclusive offer for Insiders!).

I love the detail in this necklace! I haven't seen another choker like it anywhere else, which is why I had to have it! Plus, it's adjustable to fit all different sizes! (You could also turn it around and put the buckle in the back and leave the plain gold part visible in the front!)

3. Limited Edition Black Suede Choker

And last but not least, the choker I'm guilty of wearing 5 out of 7 days of the week! The first reason I love it so much is because it's handmade in Chattanooga, TN by my friend Summer of Summer Renee Jewelry. We exclusively carry her unique, eye-catching jewelry designs at all four Blowout Co. salons. I love shopping and supporting local!

The second reason I love this choker so much is because I helped her design it! It's a limited edition design and only $28 so get one for your bestie, too. You can be like me and Tina and have a friendship choker! It comes with a special offer for Complete Insiders (who get to shop our best jewelry, handbags, makeup, skincare, shoes, plus more discounts - learn more here).

The last reason I'm so obsessed with this choker (and the reason I get away with wearing it so much) is because you can turn it around and get an entirely new look! I loooove wearing it this way just as much as I love showing off the gold embellishment. It basically acts as two completely separate necklaces. (Talk about getting your cost-per-wear down!)

Alright, gals. Make sure you embrace the 90's the right way and I better not run into any of you dressed like a Spice Girl. But don't be afraid to try a choker or two! Just don't spend too much on a trend. They come and go quickly!
