Kara’s passion for clothing and fashion began at an early age, sitting at the knee of her mother, a skilled seamstress. Kara’s obsession with a proper fit can most likely be traced back to these days, watching her mother labor over a seam until it was perfect. One of Kara’s favorite childhood memories are the evenings she spent flipping through her mother’s 1960s fashion magazines and creating mock-up sketches of the fabulous women who graced the pages.
After enrolling in countless drawing and art classes throughout her academic years, Kara pursued a degree in Art History in Louisville, which eventually led to a position with a local history museum. She has worked as an Event Planner for several organizations and is thrilled to continue a creative path in the field of fashion. Kara’s motto on stylish dressing can be summed up by one of her favorite designers, Yves St. Laurent: Fashion fades, style is eternal.
